Introduction:

The Sonel MIC Series Insulation Resistance Testers offer a comprehensive range of high-performance insulation testing solutions, with models available from 1 kV up to 15 kV to meet the demanding requirements of electrical power systems and high-voltage applications. Designed to be compact, rugged, fully digital and user-friendly, selected models also support remote operation and feature durable IP67-rated housings for reliable performance in challenging environments. These advanced testers are ideally suited for testing EHV power transformers, EHV switchgear in charged switchyards, underground EHV power cables, capacitors and other high-voltage electrical equipment. The MIC Series is particularly recommended for measurements in environments with extremely high electromagnetic interference, including substations operating at up to 1200 kV AC or 800 kV DC, offering resistance to external interference voltages up to 1550 V and currents up to 10 mA. Depending on the model, features include a large 5.6-inch graphical LCD, automatic discharge, and the optional AutoISO-5000 adapter for automated insulation measurements on multiple-core cables. In accordance with IS 732, a specially designed adapter is also available for measuring the insulation resistance of floors, walls, safety mats, epoxy coatings, and other installations, making the Sonel MIC Series a versatile and dependable choice for professional insulation diagnostics and high-voltage electrical safety testing.
