Introduction:
The Sonel MPI Series is a multifunctional installation tester designed for comprehensive testing of residential and industrial electrical installations, combining multiple measurement and diagnostic functions in a single universal device. It enables users to assess installation safety, measure earthing and electric-shock protection parameters and perform fast fault-loop impedance measurements in RCD-protected networks without triggering the RCD. The instrument features an integrated three-phase power quality recorder with real-time network parameter monitoring and measurements in accordance with Class S of EN 61000-4-30, along with an energy cost calculator for evaluating potential savings.
Its large 7-inch, 800 × 480 pixel colour TFT touchscreen provides clear access to measurements and waveforms, while the included stylus allows convenient operation even when wearing dielectric gloves. Built-in help screens with measurement diagrams guide users through the correct connections for different tests. For efficient data management, the MPI Series supports USB, SD card, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and works with dedicated software including Sonel Reports PLUS for professional measurement reports, Sonel Reader for viewing and printing measurement data and Sonel Analysis for detailed power quality analysis.
