Introduction:
The CAP-CT Series is a comprehensive condition-based maintenance solution designed to enhance safety, reliability and predictive asset monitoring. Its integrated ultrasound and infrared inspection technologies enable maintenance teams to assess energized electrical equipment without disturbing operations. The CAP-CT Series IR Windows, equipped with the exclusive Poly-View System, provide a large, rectangular infrared-transmissive viewing area compatible with virtually any thermography camera. This expanded field of view allows technicians to capture more thermal information in a single inspection across visual, UV, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR spectrums. Patented FAST (Fixed and Stable Transmission) technology ensures consistent thermal transmission and reliable readings throughout the product’s service life. For energized electrical inspections, the VPDS Ultrasound Sensor incorporates an integrated in-panel transducer to improve operator safety while enhancing ultrasound detection capabilities. The VP-12-US Acoustic Sensor further standardizes ultrasound data collection, helping deliver consistent, high-quality results regardless of technician experience or equipment enclosure rating. Engineered for demanding industrial environments, the CAP-CT Series features reinforced, environmentally sealed construction, optional locking covers for added protection against impact, dust and debris and durable stainless-steel or aluminium construction depending on the application. IRISS infrared windows are arc-flash rated, seismic tested and UL listed as standard and are backed by an unconditional lifetime warranty. With its combination of safety, accuracy, durability, adaptability and advanced inspection technology, the CAP-CT Series supports effective Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) programs, helping organizations reduce risk, optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime and extend asset life.
Key Advantages:
Environmentally Sealed Design: An additional layer of protection for both the inspection window and the equipment in environments with harsher conditions.
Unparalleled Field of View: Over 6x the FOV of a 4-inch diameter round window, giving the thermographer the ability of infinite viewing angles inside the switchgear.
Fixed & Stable Transmission: The polymer IR window systems will maintain fixed and stable transmission (FAST) for the life of the installation.
Durable and Rugged: Polymer-based IR windows are far more able to resist the mechanical stresses of electrical and mechanical applications.
Patented Poly-View Optic: Our exclusive polymer technology is unaffected by environmental stresses, and enables visual, IR, and UV inspections.
Arc Safety Tested: Successfully tested to the IEC 62271-200 standard for arc containment on metal-enclosed switchgear to help protect workers from injury or fatality.
Unconditional Lifetime Warranty: The IRISS unconditional lifetime warranty is unique in the IR industry applying to both the IR window housing and optic.
UL Listed: Having passed rigorous standards and testing, our inspection windows are UL Listed (E 491496).
