Introduction: 

Thermo-TA is a liquid crystal thermal indicator designed to provide live, easy-to-read temperature monitoring for electrical and mechanical equipment. Its thermochromic technology changes colour from black to red in 5°C temperature intervals, allowing users to quickly identify temperature fluctuations and elevated-temperature conditions. The highly visible colour change provides an immediate visual indication that can be observed from a distance and under varying lighting conditions. With its simple, non-digital design, Thermo-TA offers a cost-effective way to support asset health monitoring, improve operational safety and identify potential temperature-related issues before they escalate.

Installation Peel the Thermo-TA temperature-indicating label from the backing paper. Apply it to a clean, dust- and grease-free surface. When applying to a cable, preferably wrap the self-adhesive label around the cable and back onto itself. For indoor use only.

Caution These labels are designed for use on electrical equipment. Electrical safety must be assessed by a competent electrician before application.

Limitations

• The Safe-Connect Series is not suitable for unprotected outdoor use or direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light or high relative humidity may cause degradation and affect product performance.
• The Safe-Connect Series does not prevent electrical faults or fires. It is intended to assist in monitoring abnormal temperatures and provide a visual indication of potential electrical faults and fire risks.
• The Safe-Connect Series does not replace the requirement to formally install, test, inspect and maintain electrical installations in accordance with applicable electrical safety legislation, wiring regulations, and manufacturer’s instructions.
