AHF panel

An Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) panel is a power quality solution that actively detects and eliminates harmonic currents generated by non-linear loads such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), UPS systems, rectifiers, switch-mode power supplies, and arc furnaces. Using IGBT-based technology with real-time DSP (Digital Signal Processing) control, the AHF continuously monitors the load current, generates an equal and opposite harmonic current, and injects it into the system to cancel out harmonics from the 2nd to the 50th order — bringing total harmonic distortion (THD) below 5% as per IEEE 519 standards. It also simultaneously compensates for reactive power and load imbalance, making it a comprehensive power quality solution in a single panel.
